Although any time is a good time to show appreciation and bestow honor to your Pastor, Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church chose Sunday, October 24, 2010.
A special service to honor Pastors Sherrill Green, Mark Entrekin, Joshua Bridges and Pastor Emeritus Furman Entrekin began at 11:00 a.m. During Praise and Worship, the choir introduced a new song and sung favorite hymns of the Pastor. Members of the congregation shared sentiments from their heart for each Pastor. A few words of appreciation were also extended and bouquets presented to Mrs. Gail Green, Mrs. Janet Entrekin, and Mrs. Bethany Bridges, the wife of each of the Pastors. A video presentation of each Pastor and their family added humor to the service.
The Guest Speaker was Bishop Ray Boggs. Bishop Boggs was accompanied by his wife, Karen, son Brett, and a friend of the family. Bishop Boggs concluded with a special prayer over the Pastors and their families, and a "hug line" allowing each member of the congregation to go through the line and shake hands and give hugs! After the service a covered dish meal was provided for all in attendance.
