Visitation will be Wednesday, January 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the Brockington Funeral Home in Lake City, SC. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Bible Outreach Church in Lake City, SC.

Calep Howell
LAKE CITY: Mr. Calep Elwood Howell, 77, passed away peacefully Monday, January 24th, 2011 after a long illness.
Mr. Howell was born in Horry County on September 23, 1933. He was a son of the late Furman Howell and the late Bessie Vida Inman Howell, and was the husband of Shirley Fitch of Lake City. Mr. Howell was a member of Bible Outreach, and worked as a policeman in Georgetown and Florence. He was a loving husband and father, and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Howell’s surviving family includes his wife of seventeen years, Shirley Fitch, of Lake City; his siblings, Reverend Tommy Howell (Betty), of Columbia, L.D. Howell (Jeanette), of Conway, Bobby Howell (Vera), of Coward, Reverend Paul Howell (Mary Elizabeth), of Columbia, Reverend Tim Howell (Becky), of Florence, Reverend Jerry Howell (Martha), of Conway, Ruby Lee Dorman (J.C.), of Conway, and Eulee Lovell, of Conway; his eight sons, Glenn Howell (Diane), of Goose Creek, Gregg Howell (Carrie), of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Tony Howell (Brenda), of Ladson, Rusty Howell, of Aiken, Richard Howell, of Florence, Johnny Fowler, of Florence, R.L. Howell (Doris), of Greenville, and Jason Howell (Jennifer), of Lake City; his daughter, Terri Floyd (Ray), of Scranton; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Howell is preceded in death by his brother, Moses Howell; and his daughter, Amanda Fowler. The family of Mr. Howell will have visitation tonight from six until eight o’clock p.m., Wednesday, January 26th, 2011 in the funeral home.
Funeral services for Mr. Howell will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Thursday, January 27th, 2011 in the Bible Outreach Church. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
